Firstly, make sure that the file you want to check is supported by the application. Right-click on it, select Properties, open the General tab and check the format next to Type of file. SewIconz supports only .art, .art42, .art50, .art60, .c2s .clf, .cnd, .csd, .dem, .dsb, .dst, .dsz,.emb, .emd, .exp, .gnc, .hus, .jan, .jef, .jef+, .krz, .ksm, .ngs, .pat, .pcd, .pcm, .pcq, .pcs, .pec, .pes, .phb, .phc, .sew, .shv, .sst, .sti, .tap, .t01, .tbf, .tcf, .vip, .vp3, .xxx, .wte, .zsk, .4qb, .cqp, .hqf, .iqp, .plt, .qli, .bmp, .cdr, .cmx, .draw, .dxf, .gif, .jpg, .png, .svg, .emf and .wmf. If your file should be supported by the software, I recommend you update the utility to the latest version. After that, if you move the cursor over the icons you should see the information about the pattern. Check the official user guide for further information or contact the developer.

It's possible to use the application in a Mac environment although it is not officially released for this operating system. You can make it run in Mac OS with the help of virtualization software. In this case, Paralells Desktop is suggested for optimum compatibility. For this to work, you also need an installation disc for the operating system you want to install, because Paralells Desktop requires it to properly install the application.
